Christmas cards

I haven't taken my family pictures yet.  It's usually quite a production filled with tension, whining and disaster.

Last year I used the Grinch theme.

I'd driven around looking for the perfect park with a nice hill.  Who knew it was a dog park?  It didn't take long for me to find out with fresh baked chicken fumes lofting.  There were all sorts of strange dogs running in and out of the shots.

This dog however is mine.... freshly shaved I might add.

All that to say, despite the occasional drama taking pictures of my own kids, it's so worth it.   I love Holiday Cards!

After a wonderfully fun Thanksgiving I'm happily plowing through holiday sessions. Sometimes I stumble upon images that make me laugh out loud and this one did just that....

It's as if pup here is saying to me: Do you see this?  What in the sam hill happened to my life?

this is awkward.

Coming back to write today is a little embarassing.  It's been so long.  Feels kinda like calling a friend you haven't spoken to in ages... so much has happened..... where to start?  Is your kid in college yet?

I used to think I was busy.  I wasn't.  I was lazy.

I'm still lazy.  But I am also genuinely busy.  Here's a bit of what we've been up to....

... a birthday.... lots of soccer games.... homework.... trips to the park....

.... a trip to Sea World... visits with friends.... going to the grocery store (and then back again)....

... and lots of photo sessions.

Now that the awkward reintroduction is over I hope to post regularly again!  If you are still here, (Bueller Bueller Bueller?)... thanks for sticking around.

It takes a village.

This holiday season is looking pretty busy already.  Thankfully my friend agreed to help me with ordering images and scheduling.  You'll like her; she's a lot more organized than I am for sure!
